VBF - A brief history

Having been involved with the running of the 1st VB club The Victorian Bulldog Society, which I enjoyed prior to stepping down as Chairman in October 2002. Three months later (January 2003) after talking with a few owner friends I founded a new club which I named The Victorian Bulldog Foundation, I choose the name foundation as it is the basis of which things are built on. Since forming we have held 3 shows to date and now have a great data base working to keep records of our dogs and members details.

Why the VBF ?

I wanted to offer something to the people I had become acquainted with through my dogs and promote/maintain this rare blood line. Plus with the onset of computers in literally every home, I thought a great way to run a club would be via the internet. Communication would be easier than post, much cheaper and potentially more regular. We could promote our Victorian Bulldogs via a web site that the public plus VBF members could visit. Help and advice would be obtainable on-line via email and a members message board. Thus we have The Victorian Bulldog Foundation.

To those fellow friends/members who have given their help and support to the VBF and for their contributions in making this site possible, I would like to show my appreciation by saying

Well done and thank you

 Martin (VBF Founder)
