"An Unincorporated Association"

(Founded 2003)

Formed with the betterment of the Victorian Bulldog in mind. Mr Martin Moran founded the VBF after consultation regarding the future of the VB with a small group of enthusiasts. The Victorian Bulldog has gained recognition as an alternative to the show type Bulldog of which generally lacks enthusiasm for exercise and often suffers from various congenital conditions. Our Bulldogs closely resemble the British Bulldog of the late 1800`s thus having a some what more sporty appearance compared to the modern show Bulldog but still blessed with the friendly loveable characteristics.

The main propose of this site is to introduce, educate & promote our Victorian Bulldogs. It is globally accepted & fact that the late Mr Ken Mollett was the creator of what he named The Victorian Bulldog. Credit for this great creation must go to the Mollett family. All of our VBF dogs stem from the original lineage that Ken produced dating back to the mid 1980`s. Working with a limited gene pool has became hard over the last few years and as we believe a lot of inbreeding would be detrimental to the lineage a little fresh blood will be selected when required.

The VBF has an invested interest only in the Victorian Bulldogs currently in the possession of our founder members; others may now be breeding dogs from totally unrelated stock to Ken Mollett’s and selling them under the umbrella “Victorian”. So if it’s a Mollett line VB you are specifically looking to own our recommendation is to check the breeders lineage by asking to see either registration certs from the original club the Victorian Bulldog Society or our own foundation registration certs. Victorian Bulldogs are rare and not readily available. We believe breeding to be a responsibility and finding puppies good permanent homes is of paramount importance.

*Please note*

The Victorian Bulldog Foundation is not an open registry; our registry was created with the sole purpose of keeping detailed records of our dogs. Presently only Victorian Bulldogs produced via the VBF qualify for registration/membership. The VBF has no affiliation with any other registries or organisations at present.

Please enjoy the site!.
