Fundamental goals of the VBF



 

1.  The welfare of the VB's owned must be your main priority. (Any member found to be neglecting their dogs will be asked to leave The VBF)

2.  Members should at all times be in control of their dogs in a public place.

3.  Members when in appropriate situation should try when asked, educated people on the virtues of the Victorian Bulldog.

4.  Members must be ethical when venturing into breeding, no son/mother, father/daughter, brother/sister mating without prior approval of The VBF. No breeding of a bitch prior to it’s 2nd season, 3 seasons in a row or after 6 years of age. Any bitch having two caesareans will be considered retired from breeding.

5.  No stud dog or brood bitch shall be bred to any dog whose owner is in any way involved with breeding for commercial gain, pet shops, puppy brokers, puppy mills, litter lot sales, or any commercial enterprise whose business it is to deal in similar activities.

6.  Breeding must only be carried out with total focus being improvement of bloodline.

7.  Puppies shall be placed in private, safe, caring homes. Buyers should be as thoroughly vetted as possible to determine their stability to provide a proper environment, it is imperative that any risks to our Victorian Bulldogs are minimised.

8.  VBF members are responsible for the welfare/development of any puppies they produce.
